The sudden loss of a loved one can drastically affect the quality of life for grieving families. Sudden loss increases the chances of families being affected by alcoholism, depression, and mental health challenges if not properly addressed.

Accidents

847 fatalities occurred on Virginia's roads roadways in 2020

COVID-19

197 families in Pittsylvania-Danville Health District has died of the corona virus since the first fatality was recorded March 25, 2020.

About Paving the Way

Paving the Way is a nonprofit organization that dedicated to assist families who experienced a sudden loss, in their process of healing, through grief education and peer support.

Upcoming Projects to Fund

On Sunday, September 5, 2021 Paving the Way will host the annual Pay it Forward for Jerale event at Coats Recreation Park  from 3pm-6pm EST. The event will bring an awareness to the stigma associated with suicide and provide resources grieving families can receive.  Click the tab below to help support this momentus event.
