PAVING THE WAY
MISSION & HISTORY
Paving the Way, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist families who experienced a sudden loss, in their process of healing, through grief education and peer support.
On September 5, 2018, Gerald and Katrina Gregory experienced the sudden loss of their son, Jerale Gregory. Like millions of families, Jerale's father, mother, brothers, and sisters faced many dark days as they dealt with the emotional strain of their grief and isolation.
As they dealt with the stigma associated with suicide, together they found a path to healing and a process to face the world with their heads up and their hearts expanded.
Jerale Gregory was a beautiful soul and brilliant mind. Consequently, the Gregorys decided one of the best ways to honor Jerale's life was to assist other families who need help in finding their path to healing and discover peace on the other side of grief.
Gerald and Katrina Gregory moved forward and co-founded Paving the Way a nonprofit organization that serves as a conduit in which Jerale's life will make a difference in the lives of those who feel alone, shattered, and empty.
With the help of the community, gracious donors, and dedicated volunteers, families can find hope and healing one day at a time through Paving the Way family services.
