Alicia Hairston

Katrina Gregory is the Co-Founder and President of Paving the Way Inc. For many years, Mrs. Gregory has provided physical, mental, and spiritual assistance to those in need with her various skills, experience, and talents. For over 25 years, Katrina worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and for several years as a Direct Support Professional and Certified Medical Technician. Katrina excels in being able to actively listen and empathize with others, a skill she attributes not only to her career in nursing, but inclusive of her work as a cosmologist for over two decades. One of Mrs. Gregory’s greatest passions is ministering to the spiritual needs of those she encounters.  As a licensed minister for over 10 years, she has served as a Board Member, Superintendent, Youth Director, and Missionary Department Leader within local communities of faith. Katrina’s willingness to serve others in their darkest hours lead her to start Paving the Way, an organization that is focused on families who have experienced extreme grief due to sudden loss of a loved one.

Tonalisa Edmunds

Tonalisa Edmunds is a native of South Boston, VA, and serves on the Board and as the Marketing Director for Paving the Way.  Ms. Edmunds earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Virginia Tech, a Master of Business Education with a concentration in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. She's taught business education with Danville Public Schools and has been employed with the North Carolina Public School system for nine years.  She served as a business education teacher in Rockingham County Public Schools for a year.  Currently, she is employed with Wake County Public Schools, where she has served as a business education teacher, Career Development Coordinator, and Beginning Teacher Mentor.  Presently, she is an assistant principal at Leesville Road Middle School in Raleigh, NC. Her passion as an educator focuses on establishing relationships with students and their families, creating a learning environment where students can learn from their mistakes, and empowering students to be the best in all they strive to do. 

Gerald L Gregory is the Co-Founder of Paving the Way Inc. He also serves as the Treasurer for the organization. Alongside his wife, Katrina, Gerald has dedicated his life to helping others and being a positive influence in his community. Mr. Gregory has been built a career with a company that he’s serviced for over two decades. His experiences led him to become a resourceful person with the tenacity to resolve problems and achieve results. Gerald’s compassion for young people and his understanding of the power of mentorship, led him to become a Youth Sunday School Teacher while working closely with local Senior Pastors to help service their faith-based communities. Hardwork and loyalty to family is Mr. Gregory’s core. Consequently, Gerald’s dedication to the mission of Paving the Way is unwavering.

Deuntae Motley

Deuntae Motley is a member of the Board of Directors for Paving the Way, Inc. Mr. Motley is a graduate of George Washington High School and received his Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from Ferrum College. Following his education, Deuntae became a dedicated employee of Goodyear, one of the largest companies in Danville, VA. As a young man, he learned the value of giving back to his community. Consequently, he became an annual volunteer of Travis Tarpley's Rising All-Stars Youth Football Camp and consistently volunteered with the Dan River Varsity Football team as an Assistant Coach. His passion for football, physical fitness, music, and technology allows him to encourage others to engage in healthy activties in diverse and innovative ways.

Alicia M. Hairston is a member of the Board of Directors for Paving the Way, Inc. and also serves as the organization’s Secretary. Ms. Hairston has a strong passion for helping the community and supporting those in need.  After attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Rockingham Community College to obtain her degree in Practical Nursing, Ms. Hairston pursued a career in management where she has provided oversight to achieve company goals and has lead teams of people for over five years.  As a mother, Ms. Hairston understands the importance of investing in today’s youth and therefore, has fulfilled the role of Secretary for the Central Elementary Parent Teacher Association and has also worked as a youth mentor and volunteer with Eden Parks and Recreation

Tiana Miniciel

Tiana Miniciel serves as the Executive Director of Paving the Way. For over 19 years Tiana has worked in the mental health field to assist people with achieving a better quality of life. As a proud mother of three children, Tiana focuses her energy on helping her community become one of the best regions for her children to grow and thrive.  Tiana received her associates in the Arts of Psychology and currently works as the Project Service Coordinator and Director of Marketing for a local company.

Sheri Terry

Sheri Terry is a member of the Board of Directors for Paving the Way, Inc. who believes in “being a part of a solution… not the problem.” Mrs. Terry is a native of Gretna, VA and for the past 16 years has dedicated her life to helping others through the field of nursing. She is a Registered Nurse and currently works in the psychiatric field of medicine and is excited to spend much of her spare time working to make her community a great place to live and grow.
